Guest Speaker: Sophia Tesfamariam

 

Our guest speaker will be Sophia Tesfamariam. She is an Eritrean native, who is a prominent figure in politics nationally and internationally working for social justice in the Horn of Africa and the African continent as whole. Currently she is an analyst/director for the US Foundation for Horn of Africa and an avid writer; writing journals and articles online about the injustices happening in Africa. She specializes in social media and speaks on how the access to the internet and social hubs online are how a lot of information is being disseminated and as Africans how to utilize that to benefit our continent.
